Let it snow??

Good morning everyone..been a great last couple of days for our snow cover.  We're at 11" so far here at the course.  The wind has really picked this morning and it looks like another slug of moisture is headed our way for early this afternoon.  It's also warming up a little.  All that being said, we are not going be able to groom the track probably until the storm subsides, maybe tomorrow.  I was out earlier this morning checking out the conditions (so beautiful after a big dump) and there is easily 8" or so on the track in the protected areas and as much as 14-16" in the downwind areas.  Rather than likely spending two full days trying to get it into shape, only to have it blow in again, we are going to sit tight.  Feel free to get the snowshoes out or try and set your own track in the mean time.  We just ask that you follow the stakes and try and stay on the trail.

In addition, we've gone from 6-8" on the course just a couple of weeks ago to 24-30" right now and will probably be more than 3 feet by Monday.  This is the time of year that foraging becomes so much more difficult for the wildlife.  Spooking an animal this time of the year can really drain reserves for later in the winter..it can be the difference in survival in some cases.  Please give the wildlife the right of way while out on the track.

We had an opportunity this year to send a representative to the golf course industry's national conference in Florida.  It's great opportunity to research new equipment and technology, build on education, connect with others in the industry and share ideas.  It was an exceptionally productive week and we look forward to using that experience to make the experience we provide our members and guests better in the coming season.

Have a great weekend..enjoy all this fresh snow!!!
